Ilan: The Voice of Resonance
Liberty is a song that is as much seen as heard. Its composition is intrinsically tied to imagery, serving as an emotional and narrative extension of the story it tells.
The Seine flows through the strings of a violin, while the Pont de Grenelle is evoked by an accordion, honoring France’s intelligent and sensitive heritage. This is the legacy carried by exiles in a simple linen bundle, refusing to betray the melody or the French accordion. They, in turn, pass the torch to distant lands.
In the style of Michel Legrand’s iconic soundtracks, Ilan has crafted a musical theme for each character, whether tangible or abstract. The piano speaks for the figure forced into flight, seeking survival for their children. The accordion captures the breathless pulse of a Paris under siege. In the background, a promise endures: to uphold the identity and values inherited. France’s harmonies will be passed on, honestly and warmly, a commitment Mila Fassi embraces.
